Innovative Media for Educators
‘Ōlelo proudly introduces its newest Youth Xchange training program just for educators called Innovative Media for Educators (IME). This program is designed to assist educators in integrating media into classroom curriculum by sharing:
- Knowledge in multiple styles of media production
- Specific production workflows
- Guidance in choosing the correct production techniques for the classroom or project
- Access to ‘Ōlelo’s video equipment, mini-studios and Media Service Centers
Students today live in a world of instant visual communications. ‘Ōlelo provides the tools to help educators engage their students in the use of diverse video recording techniques, from single to multi-camera production, and video editing instruction that covers file management, sound and picture enhancement, music, transitions, graphics, and pacing.
With a 25+ year history of empowering individuals and organizations to engage in media production, we are excited to now offer a program that supports educators to equip, empower, and engage their students. Classes will be conducted at our Māpunapuna Media Service Center.
Covid-19 Update: At ‘Ōlelo, we are doing our best to continue to provide services and resources to the community during these difficult times. We understand our educators have a tremendous responsibility to continue to help students learn while they are at home. ‘Ōlelo would like to continue to support our educators in any way we can.
