Classes & Workshops
Whether you want to use media as a creative, educational, or professional tool, our classes and workshops provide you with a range of skillsets and certifications, from basic camera operations and digital editing to studio productions and live event broadcasts.
For the Public
Our public classes and workshops equip both members and non-members with essential skills in digital storytelling, creative media, and video production. They also provide the required certifications to access and use ʻŌlelo’s production equipment, studios, and editing facilities, empowering community members to create and share their own impactful content.
For Schools & Educators
Our IME program is for educators who wish to integrate media into their classroom with instructional, curriculum, and technical support. We also offer professional development opportunities for teachers and educational staff. We also offer industry-standard certification training for students who wish to learn how to operate ʻŌlelo’s professional production and broadcast equipment. Students who complete certification training have the option to participate in further on-the-job training opportunities on various future ʻŌlelo productions as part of our new workforce development volunteer program.
For Organizations
We offer facilitated training sessions for a fee to non-profit and government organizations that are interested in using media to raise awareness and share non-commercial messaging with the community. Group sessions require a minimum of 5 participants. These sessions can be tailored specifically to meet your organization’s needs and objectives.
