Caring Together

Laulima Initiative – Many Hands Working Together for Hawai‘i

ʻŌlelo Community Media created the Laulima Initiative to unite public, education, government, and business partners around urgent community issues using the power of media.

Launched in 2025, our first pilot, Caring Together, strengthens Hawai‘i’s caregiving community—especially those supporting loved ones with dementia, and sets the stage for expanded distribution in 2026.

About Caring Together

This pilot delivers practical caregiving skills, inspiring stories, and local resources to help families care with confidence. While focused on dementia, the communication and care techniques apply to all types of caregiving.

The studio audience reflects Hawai‘i’s diverse caregivers—new and experienced family caregivers, youth, community leaders, and potential funders—ensuring a wide range of voices and experiences.
