‘Ōlelo Community Media welcomes skilled and committed volunteers and interested interns to support our mission: To strengthen our island voices and advance community engagement through innovative media, and realize our vision whereby: ‘Ōlelo is a catalyst for positive change in the community, where every voice matters.

Volunteers who embrace and exhibit our core values—Teamwork, Integrity, and Aloha—are central to our operations and essential to empowering the voices of our diverse communities.

Volunteers benefit from their service to ‘Ōlelo Community Media.  Here is a list of several benefits:

  • Acquire new skills and tools.
  • Gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for Community (PEG) Access resources, services, and programs.
  • Exposure to diverse clients, non-profit organizations, community based organizations, government agencies, educators, youth, and industry partners and experts.

Be part of our ‘ohana, as a volunteer
Volunteers may assist with back office support, Media Center operations, studio and field productions, and special events. Certain opportunities require skilled individuals. However, most are made available to individuals who are at least 15 years of age, with parent consent and supervision, and enjoy learning and growing.
