Description
The Basic Media Production Certification Course is an introduction to visual storytelling. The Producer class covers the three stages of production, and how to plan and execute the communication of a message to target audiences. Camera, Audio and Lighting class participants use multiple types of production equipment, including HD camcorders, microphones and lighting instruments to capture their vision. Editing class brings everything together with the Final Cut Pro X software. Distribution and promotion of completed works beyond airing on ‘Ōlelo channels is also emphasized. Participants who complete the courses become certified ‘Ōlelo Media Members, granting them access to the production facilities, resources, and equipment they are trained to use.
Class Dates: Producer – December 2, 3, 4 & 5 (Lab Session)
Camera, Audio & Lighting – December 9, 10, 11 & 12 (Lab Session)
Editing – December 16, 17, 18 & 19(Lab Session)
Class Time: 6pm – 9pm
Fee: $153.75 (2.5% online convenience fee included)
