An answer to the increased demand from teachers to integrate media into their classrooms, our Innovative Media for Educators Program (IME) is the newest addition to ‘Ōlelo’s Youth Initiatives. IME provides educators with media resources, technologies, training, and professional development opportunities for little to no cost. In return, participants gain access to state-of-the-art video equipment, studio facilities, and production resources at all 6 Media Service Centers throughout O‘ahu.
Open to all Hawai‘i DOE and private school teachers, youth educators, and advocates, under IME, participants also receive Educator Certification, which authorizes graduates from the program to train and certify their students to become ‘Ōlelo Media Producers.
The next IME workshop series is July 17th – 19th. For additional workshop dates, information, or to register, CLICK HERE or contact Wes Akamine, training@olelo.org or (808) 237-2120.
