In an effort to further strengthen our island voices and advance community engagement through innovative media, ‘Ōlelo began an equipment donation program, awarding discontinued equipment to various schools on the island associated with our Youth Xchange E³ initiative . We donated our equipment as evenly and fairly as we could to each of the schools based on what equipment they expressed interested in receiving on a survey that was distributed.
So far, we’ve donated 50 cameras and 58 tripods in this inaugural year of the program.
